**Role**:
The IT Manager is responsible for managing, implementing, and supporting the school's ICT infrastructure, systems, and devices. This includes developing technology strategies, supporting teaching and learning platforms, maintaining devices and networks, and ensuring compliance with Department of Education and Training (DET) policies.
The role requires a balance of hands-on technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and strong interpersonal skills to support both staff and (to a small degree) students in a dynamic school environment.
**Responsibilities**:
The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and aligning them with the school¿s goal of providing the best long-term outcomes for students and staff.
- Ensure network security and data integrity.
- Deploy and configure staff laptops; set up and configure student devices.
- Maintain school-owned devices, including laptops, printers, copiers, and projectors.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Design, specify, and oversee programming changes necessary to enhance, modify, or maintain computer systems.
- Evaluate and report on the operational efficiency of production computer systems, recommending improvements where needed.
- Assess and report on the effectiveness of hardware configurations, software operating systems, data transmission networks, and general software packages.
- Develop and conduct training programs for computer system users.
- Manage a wide-ranging technical program across the school.
- Oversee audio/visual connectivity and ensure functionality.
- Maintain the integrity and configuration of the phone system.
- Respond promptly to requests for assistance from school staff.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Principal.
