Required Work Experience : 2 Years as a Baker

Required Qualification: Minimum of Cert III in Baking or patisserie required and, overall Diploma level qualification preferred.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Prepare and bake a variety of cheesecakes, cakes, pastries, and other baked goods according to the shop's recipes and standards.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately to ensure the consistency and quality of the products.
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve the desired results.
- Prepare and assemble cake layers, fillings, and toppings as per the shop's specifications.
- Ensure that all products meet quality and presentation standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies.
- Place orders for ingredients and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Properly store and rotate ingredients to minimize waste.
- Adhere to food safety regulations, and follow proper hygiene and sanitation practices, including handwashing and glove usage.
- Ensure that all products meet food safety and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment, such as ovens, mixers and other equipments.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with the management to develop new and discretionary recipes or variations of existing products.
- Test and refine recipes to meet customer preferences and quality standards.
- Assist with customer inquiries and provide information about products.
- Ensure that products are presented attractively in the display case.
- Complete required documentation, such as production record sheets, and comply with health and safety guidelines and company policies.
- Perform quality checks on baked goods to ensure they meet company standards.
- Address and correct any issues related to product quality or appearance.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- Certificate I - IV (required)

**Experience**:

- Baking: 2 years (required)
