Assistant Ginners

Queensland Cotton Corporation is currently looking for experienced and qualified Assistant Ginners to join our team at Wee Waa.

**About the role**

Our Cotton Gin facilities receive and process raw cotton to remove cotton seed and compress clean lint into cotton bales ready for export. For part of the year, you will help lead seasonal teams to safely run 12-hour shifts (day or night) to meet production targets and budgets. For the rest of the year, as part of the permanent team, you will be heavily involved in the repairs and preventative maintenance program.

It's important that you are responsible, interested in learning new skills, and you'll need to be mechanically minded with some hands on experience with machinery, welding etc.

**Who we seek**

If you’re an experienced Ginner, we’d love to hear from you We appreciate it’s a small industry, so we’re inviting tradies (or equivalent) from other industries with experience in a production / maintenance environment to apply. Alternatively if you're ambitious, hard working and you have some mechanical experience we will help train you up to become a Ginner.

You will of course need to be an ethical person, hard-working and safety-aware, able to think on your feet and troubleshoot, and take accountability to get results by working well with colleagues.

**Salary range**

Annual salary range is from $75,000 to $90,000 commensurate to qualifications, skills and experience.
