About the role

We’re seeking a Credit Officer on a 12-month fixed term basis to contribute to the success of the Company by directly ensuring that the company’s cash flow is optimised, and bad debt minimised.

Day-to-day, you will:
- Work in a fast-paced, high-volume customer contact centre environment-
- Contact customers to obtain payment of overdue accounts, exercising care and compassion to assist with payment solutions-
- Resolve complex credit issues escalated from Call Centres and Customer Service-
- Manage & resolve customer queries within target time frames-
- Minimise potential bad debts and refer them to external debt collection companies as per company policy-
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including Account Managers and Customer Care staff regarding credit management and other customer accounting matters that ariseThis role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
- Prior experience working in a Contact Centre, retail or other customer-facing roles, with a strong focus on resolving complaints and assisting customers-
- Knowledge in credit management generally including collection techniques such as negotiation skills-
- Outcome focused, target-driven, with exposure to high-volume, low-value transactions-
- You are authentic, empathetic and passionate about customer service, able to solve problems without any further escalationProficient in PC based systems including Microsoft Office (specifically intermediate Excel)-
- Ability to work autonomously to find solutions and outcomes that benefit the business and the customer.-
