**Risk, Compliance and Conduct Consultant**
We’re the Health Insurance Fund of Australia, but our friends call us HIF. We are looking for a Risk, Compliance and Conduct (RCC) Consultant to help support the exciting maturing risk culture journey with HIF.
**About the role**
We are looking for an individual who wants to take their skills to the next level and are passionate about promoting, visibility, awareness, responsibility and accountability of risk within HIF.
As a member of our (RCC team, the RCC consultant will support the Risk Lead and the wider RCC team in maintaining and improving HIF’s Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Compliance Management Framework (CMF) across the organisation.
This role will include delivery of the following:

- Identify, analyse, evaluate and treat risk exposure and engage with relevant stakeholders to support assessment of business decisions, review and update risk registers.
- Support management of risks, controls, including actions, control deficiencies or inefficiencies identified.
- Conduct periodical testing of controls assessing control effectiveness and identification of improvement initiatives.
- Assist with the maintenance of relevant policies, procedures and risk management information system.
- Effectively assess, classify and manage incidents and breaches reported.
- Review operational business processes to identify potential process, obligation or compliance risks or inefficiencies in controls, and suggest suitable process improvement initiatives to process owners for implementation.
- Assist with the co-ordination of Internal Audit reviews and closure of audit findings.
- Assist with the delivery of risk management support, training and education.
- Collaborate within Risk, Compliance and Conduct team on all compliance matters.
- Assist with the preparation and support the appropriate reporting for HIF’s Leadership Team, Board Audit and Risk Committees.
- Tertiary qualification in a business relevant discipline
- A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a risk and/or compliance related role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand Risk Management Standard (AS/NZS 31000:2018).
- Good working knowledge of compliance management standards, guidelines, practices, techniques and tools.
- The ability to analyse and document business processes, workflows and controls.
- Risk assessment, mitigation, investigation and remediation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to document policies and procedures.
- Experience within financial or professional services industries.
- Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of risk and compliance management frameworks

Desirable experience and attributes:

- Internal audit and / or process improvement skills.
- Knowledge of applicable private health insurance compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in the use of Protecht.ERM / other Enterprise Risk Management systems.
