We are seeking a **compassionate**, **reliable**, and **experienced** (or **willing to learn**) **female support worker** to join our team and provide **24/7 care** for a lovely woman in her 40s with **ASD Level 3**. She is **non-verbal** and may occasionally engage in self-harming behaviors as a way of self-soothing. While this may sound intense, it is not as severe as it seems,

**Position Details**:
This role requires ongoing support across multiple shifts, including personal care, in-home assistance, and companionship.

**About the Role: Casual Support Worker (Keperra)**
- **Job Type: Casual**:

- **Salary: $33.28 per hour (plus applicable penalty rates)**:

- **Shift Timing: 24/7 (Rotating Roster)**:

- **Work Location: In-person**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Personal Care**: Assistance with toileting, hygiene care, showering, dressing, etc.
- **In-Home Support**: Keeping the living environment tidy, clean, and organized.
- **Meal Preparation**: Assisting with meal planning and preparation, ensuring a balanced diet.
- **Behavior Management**: Providing a calming presence, especially during moments of self-harming or heightened anxiety.

**Role Highlights**:

- **Behavioral Observation**: She communicates non-verbally, so the ability to observe and respond to her cues is crucial. You'll need to be patient and intuitive in understanding her needs.
- **Managing Guardian Expectations**: The guardian is highly involved and may place pressure on support workers. It's essential to handle this professionally while maintaining excellent care for the participant.

**Requirements**:

- **Driver’s License**:Must have a valid license and own transport (mileage reimbursement available).
- **Experience**:Previous experience in personal care and community support is highly valued.
- **Personal Attributes**:Empathetic, patient, and proactive in delivering high-quality care.

**Mandatory Requirements**

- **NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)**:

- **Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)**:

- **NDIS Orientation Module**:

- **First Aid and CPR certifications (preferred but not required)**
- **Essential Qualifications**_
- **Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support or another related field.**:

- **Experience providing in-home and community access support to children and adults**
- Previous experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is highly desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in managing challenging behaviors.
- Strong communication skills, particularly in non-verbal communication.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to providing consistent support.
