Apprentice Transmission Lineworkers

**About the role**:
We currently have an exciting opportunity and are looking for multiple Apprentice Transmission Lineworker to join us in a four-year program that will enable you to obtain industry skills and knowledge while under the supervision of qualified and experienced Lineworkers. Apprentices are required to attend training sessions and complete a Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Transmission Overhead. Submitting ongoing workplace evidence addressing the competencies within the Lineworker qualification is a requirement for the Certificate III qualification.

During the program, our Transmission Lineworker Apprentice will participate in workplace and worksite rotations, experiencing a variety of work environments within the electricity supply industry to gain enhanced employment skills and career development opportunities. This role involves significant travel across NSW (21 days on: 7 days off) and will be performed on a rostered work schedule.

**You will be given the chance to participate in a variety of field activities which will include**:

- Construct, maintain and repair overhead assets to agreed network standards
- Operate and use plant, equipment and tools associated with the construction and maintenance of the network
- Installation and maintenance of overhead transmission conductors and cables
- Inspect overhead structures and electrical apparatus
- Test and verify transmission overhead installations
- General duties such as yard work, ground work at job sites, administration, traffic control (where trained) and warehouse activities.

At the end of the program, a successful Apprentice will have completed all competencies for a Certificate III in ESI Power System - Transmission Overhead

**About You**:
To be considered for the Transmission Lineworker Apprenticeship you must hold a valid driver’s licence.
