Education Consultant/tutor

Are you a qualified and registered Primary School Teacher who is friendly, enthusiastic, driven, a team player and has a big smile?

We are looking for a team member who is flexible and available on Mondays and Thursdays, during school time and during the Victorian school term dates. This position is on a contract/part-time basis, in Wollert, Ivanhoe and Greensborough areas, working 5 hours on Mondays and 4 hours on Thursdays initially, but with a possibility of further hours.

Centrally Kids Education Services assists children of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and needs with their intellectual, emotional, language, speech, communication and cognitive functioning.

As an Education Consultant/Tutor, you will be required to work with students from Kinder to Year 6 in the areas of spelling, reading, writing and/or maths, at their developmental level. A sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum F-7 is essential. You will also be required to work with students who have additional needs or medical conditions that impact their learning and/or daily life. Qualifications and experience working with children who have additional needs will be a big advantage

You will be required to plan lessons for students and keep records of assessments. Report writing may be required in liaison with the manager/director.

You will require your own transport for this semi-autonomous position as there will be some travel between clients or to community destinations. You will be required to work collaboratively with parents, reporting directly to them and the manager/director of Centrally Kids.

All training, resources and support will be supplied. Remuneration is between $50 and $60 per hour. There is a strong possibility of a contract extension into 2026.
