About the role
City of Boroondara is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for our employees. Our small and collaborative HSW team are part of the wider People, Culture and Development department and work across the organisation to ensure HSW is front of mind and embedded in all we do.
Provide expert specialist advice and coaching to employees and leaders regarding workplace health and safety matters
Support the implementation and maintenance of Council’s Health & Safety system which supports high quality standards in health and safety leadership
Support audits, reporting and other activities that allow us to make informed recommendations on workplace health and safety.
Contribute to current organisational health, safety, and wellbeing projects.
Support HR Business Partners to deliver organisational wide and business specific health, safety, and well-being solutions.
About you - you will have
Strong occupational health and safety technical expertise and experience, including in the provision in contemporary health, safety, and wellbeing matters
An understanding and experience of implementing evidence-based wellbeing practices
An ability to research and solve complex problems relating to occupational health, safety and wellbeing
Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
