**Description**:
About the role

Driving the projects - transitioning to sustainable packaging solutions to meet group strategy targets.
Delivering key initiatives - establishing a governance framework, including steering committee to monitor progress.
Implementing sustainable packaging principles - developing a strategy to meet commitments and compliance.
Ensuring a smooth transition for the entire trusted brand portfolio
Managing compliance with APCO and ARL guidelines and submitting APCO annual progress report.
Working closely with cross functional project teams and supporting other business units within the larger corporate group.
Initiating, defining, managing and driving execution of the packaging sustainability roadmap with the aim to deliver PharmaCare’s packaging sustainability ambition.
Project Manage and supporting several Packaging projects and one Platform, cross categories.
Work closely with Technical Services Team on packaging development to improve product stability and shelf life.
Completing feasibility studies of sustainable packaging solutions, liaising with stakeholders on developments.
Acting as a single point of contact for packaging sustainability related queries and managing internal stakeholders.
Participating in Industry consortiums and represents PharmaCare’s approach on packaging sustainability.
Scouting for new materials developments, potentially relevant sustainability topics.
Reporting & presentation of findings within PharmaCare and brand teams.

**Skills and Experiences**:
About You

You will be highly technical, but also capable of building strong relationships at all levels. Your forward-thinking approach and understanding of packaging manufacture and printing processes will see you deliver solutions to achieve defined targets.You are an outstanding thought leader in sustainability and up to the challenge to deliver the right outcome for PharmaCare. You are a hands-on collaborative influencer and will also ideally:
Sustainability experience within FOOD/FMCG PACKAGING essential
Experienced in development of cost effective, innovative packaging solutions - extensive industry experience in FMCG packaging development across different markets with variable challenges, and demonstrated delivery of sustainable packaging initiatives. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the packaging and recycling industries and emerging issues relating to sustainable packaging.
Knowledge of sustainability requirements including APCO and PREP requirements.
Experience implementing packaging improvement initiatives in a retail/FMCG or manufacturing environment.
