- **About the Role**_

Our organisation is currently seeking a devoted and experienced Canteen Assistants to join our growing team in Scholfields on a **Permanent Part-time basis**. The role involves implementing strategic business practices and policies to ensure the success of our canteens. Our operations run for **40 WEEKS per year**, following the school calendar, and employee salaries are in line with the fast food industry award hourly rates.
- **Key Responsibilities include**:_
- Organising and monitoring the day‐to‐day operations of the canteen.
- Use the Flexischools online ordering system to download the orders.
- Assist in daily food preparation e.g. cooking, baking, salad making.
- Assist in over-the-counter service during breakfast, recess and lunch.
- Provide a high standard of customer service by assisting students, teachers and other customers in food selection.
- Stock control.
- Daily cleaning and stocking of the canteen.
- Contribute to keeping the overall site safe, clean and presentable to customers.
- Other duties as required.
- Reliable, punctual and honest.
- Previous experience working in school canteens is essential.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates understanding of healthy eating and ability to prepare, cook and promote healthy foods.
- Employees are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check.
- Food handlers Certificate is a must.
- Food Safety Supervisor is required for the Managerial role.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
