We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced **Technical Specialist** at our Primo Foods Wacol Facility. We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual who is committed to providing an effective professional service.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the availability, reliability and capability of the plant assets
- Monitor, follow-up and address issues associated with the implementation and process of planned and unplanned maintenance tasks
- Continuous improvement of plant equipment and systems
- Communication with management in relation to equipment and maintenance issues
- Understand and implement quality control techniques
- Proactive approach in the implementation of preventative maintenance
- Be actively involved with the inspections of equipment undergoing rebuild or repair

**Criteria**:

- Experience in repairs and maintenance in an electro-mechanical discipline or similar;
- Experience in maintenance in an FMCG food environment;
- Carryout maintenance activities to optimise equipment uptime;
- Sound knowledge of OH&S equipment requirements;
- A thorough understanding of maintenance work & practices;
- Experience gained from a heavy industrial organisation or similar;
- Specific experience in meat processing equipment namely, Treif Slicers and dicers, Ishida multi-head weighers, Vemag Fillers, Multivac Thermoformers, & Bizerba metal detectors and labelling systems.
- The ability to implement technical equipment improvements;
- EProven experience with PLC’s and troubleshooting
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations procedures
- Ability to work weekends where required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
