Field Service Technician

**Job description**

We are looking to recruit for a Field Service Technician to join our Australian field-based team in the.

Travel is required to all IMO Car Wash sites located in the designated area, but Field Service Technicians should remain flexible at all times and be prepared for some interstate travel to sites outside their usual area, as required by the business (for example, but not limited to, when providing cover).

**Compensation**

$80,000 - $90,000 gross per annum, plus a fully maintained vehicle

**About the role**

The Field Service Technician is responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance of car wash equipment throughout the existing network, as well as installation and fit out of new sites.

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Maintaining the equipment in as-new condition and working order, working in a small team seeking to continuously improve wash quality and innovate the engineering programme for sites (including software updates).
- Ensuring any downtime for the car wash tunnel conveyors is kept to an absolute minimum.
- Ensuring that Operators are trained to manage the majority of simple maintenance activity and break-downs but understand their boundaries.
- Providing second-level phone support to Operators and build a trusted relationship.
- Completing Preventative Planned Maintenance (‘PPM’) work on a timely basis.
- Refurbishment of replaced parts as required.
- Ensuring open lines of communication with both site Operators and Regional Manager about planned downtime.
- Maintaining an accurate and up to date work-in-progress sheet (Basecamp), for open issues and resolve on a timely basis, managing expectations of operators, co-ordinating with and training third party contractors, suppliers and service providers as required.
- Unpacking, documenting, reconciling equipment supplied for new IMOA site installations.
- Installation and commissioning of new site installations.
- Accurate and timely completion of weekly planner, downtime reports
- PPM activity, stock take reports, timesheets for job allocation.
- Some interstate travel required.
- Undertaking such other duties as may be assigned to by the Managing Director from time to time.

**Skills and experience**
- Electrical Competent, including Control panels & 240V essential.
- Welding & Abrasive wheels (Grinding) experience beneficial.
- Experienced in parts fitting & assembly an advantage.
- Basic experience in plumbing and an understanding of calibration an advantage.
- Basic level IT, including Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel) an advantage.
- Good communicator.
- Positive Attitude.
- Ability to work independently.
- Flexible.

**Qualifications**
- A current Australian driver's licence
