**About the Role**

The Finance Business Partner position is responsible for undertaking a range of finance business partnering activities including financial budget and forecasting development, actual financial performance monitoring, analysis and reporting, and project/program financial management. In providing these services, you will exercise professional judgement and provide sound advice, guidance and support to assist internal clients in their decision making and business performance.

**POSITION OUTCOMES**
- Provide expert advice, guidance and effective internal client liaison regarding financial business partnering services ensuring the integrity of financial information and compliance with Government and Department financial strategies, policies and procedures that will add value to client decision making and the achievement of business outcomes.

**KEY SELECTION CRITERIA**

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Exercise professional judgement in undertaking a range of financial business partnering activities including budget and forecast development, actual financial performance monitoring, analysis and reporting, and project/program financial management.
- Provide sound advice, guidance and support to internal clients relating to financial business partnering services and ensure internal client compliance with Department financial policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and inform, advise and influence clients in understanding financial matters and outcomes which affect their decision making and business performance.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**

Desirable
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant or a related discipline.
- Relevant Finance or Accounting degree which includes all foundation requirements for entry into CPA Program
- Membership of CPA or CA
