**College Objective **At Geelong Lutheran College it is expected that each staff member will support the
Christian ethos of the schools. A good example for Christian living is to be given to
children and parents by words and actions.
The Christian Education environment we offer depends largely on the maturity and
professionalism of all staff. Therefore, it is expected that all staff members co-operate
fully with the Executive Principal, other staff, and the College Board in adhering to the
Policies, teachings and fostering the ethos, culture, and traditions of Geelong
Lutheran College.
Staff are expected to support the Christian ethos of Geelong Lutheran College and to
demonstrate courtesy, co-operation and teamwork with fellow members of staff.
**Position Overview **The Primary campus of Geelong Lutheran College Armstrong Creek has grown in
capacity over the past two years, with enrolments stable at 350 students. The
number of neurodiverse student’s has resulted in a need to adjust and modify the
written, taught and assessed curriculum. The College has prioritised harmonising the
two primary campuses to ensure that students at each campus have a similar
educational experience. The Inclusive Education Leader (Primary) will work closely
with the Inclusive Education Leader (Primary) and Head of Primary at our St John’s
Newtown campus to analyse data and differentiate the curriculum accordingly to
ensure consistency across GLC Primary. The Inclusive Education Leader (Primary) will
also coach teachers in best practice and support the upskilling of learning coaches to
confidently implement strategies.
The Inclusive Education Leader (Primary) plays a pivotal role in overseeing the
provision and implementation of programs for students who require modification of
content, the environment or support equipment to access the curriculum. The
Inclusive Education Leader will ensure a supportive learning environment is accessible
for all students. The successful applicant will lead a team of Learning Coaches and
works closely with key stakeholders including parents and allied health professionals.
The Intervention and Extension Programs complement the pastoral care and
curriculum offered at the College to enable each student to experience success and
growth in their learning.
The Inclusive Education Leader (Primary) supports students and teachers with a
learning program to support students’ individual needs.

**Duties and **Key Responsibilities:
**Responsibilities **- Collaboration between Head of Teaching and Learning (Primary) and Literacy
and Numeracy Coordinators in sharing and analysing data
- Collaboration with Inclusive Education Coordinator (Secondary) to ensure
smooth transition for students as they move from primary to secondary
- To lead the Inclusive Education processes and practices in the Primary Years
and align practice across the Primary settings
- Leadership and management of staff training in identified intervention and
extension programs.
- Oversight of delivery of all intervention programs
- Development and embedding to the management of Individual Learning Plans
and Education Support Plans
- Working with specialist staff to develop training for staff in understanding
neurodiversity
- Collaboration with the Primary Support Team to develop nuanced and
personalised Behaviour Support Plans
- Excellent communication skills to promote inclusive education in our
community and support families to work with the College
- Excellent interpersonal skills to come alongside people, work with all levels of
staff and leadership to advocate and drive priorities
- Effectively develop a clear strategy and communication of accountabilities
- Meticulously maintain data, observations, modifications, and correspondence
about students
- Liaise closely with teachers, Director of Teaching and Learning (Primary) and
the Wellbeing team to ensure a holistic approach to support
- Accurately record and collate all NCCD information for Primary
- Assist and provide ongoing support for all teachers to develop, implement
and record evidence of appropriate individual adjustments for students
- Support teachers professional learning to ensure they can implement
effective pedagogical approach
- Communicate regularly, effectively, and openly with all stakeholders about
the provisions being implemented for the students
- Develop systems and processes to ensure the smooth and successful
transition of students between year levels and campuses
