**Family By Family** was built by families, for families to assist all families in our communities to thrive, not just survive. Family by Family is a co-designed, peer-to-peer family support program that enables families with lived experience (Sharing Families) to support families that are going through tough times and seeking change in their lives (Seeking Families).
**This role is based at our Christies Beach office**
**About The Role**
**Family by Family’s** (FbyF) vision is to see all families thrive, not just survive. The Family Coach is a diverse role, and coaches wear many hats. The Family Coach is responsible for building teams of Sharing Families and increasing their capability to enable effective change for Seeking Families. Coaches motivate, inspire, and problem-solve with families who have faced many different challenges and stresses in their lives, ranging from experiencing social isolation through to engagement with the child protection system. Family Coaches facilitate, rather than drive change.

- You inspire and empower others with your can do attitude and drive

- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Teaching, equivalent degree and or experience
- Demonstrated experience working with families, young people and children including Aboriginal and CALD families and communities
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Experience of recruiting, and working with volunteers
- A good understanding of community resources and experience in networking with other service providers to support families
- Knowledge of and demonstrated understanding of child protection and risk management.
- The ability to work well within a team and work autonomously

**About the Remuneration**
- **Benefits**:
- In addition to your salary you can package up to $15,900 per year pre tax and benefit from a $2,650 meals and entertainment card.
