Air Systems Duct Cleaning specialises in cleaning air conditioning and exhaust ventilation systems, including ductwork and air handling units, for commercial and industrial clients, and currently have a position vacant as Operations Supervisor.
- Preparing work schedules and assigning workers to shifts.
- Ensuring that safety guidelines are always followed by workers.
- Supervising team members to ensure that they are performing their jobs correctly.
- Training new employees on the duties of their positions.
- Communicating with customers to answer their questions or resolve their problems.
- Ensuring efficient day to day operations while meeting customer expectations.
- Ensuring all operations are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensuring operational processes are always legally compliant.
- Mentoring team members to ensure that the quality standards of the job are maintained or exceeded, whilst maintaining best practises.
- Purchase materials, plan inventory, co-ordinate supply, and ensure warehouse is always clean and orderly.
**Requirements and Skills**:
- Proven work experience in a supervisory role or similar.
- Knowledge of organisational effectiveness.
- Excellent communication skills in order to give instructions and feedback to our team members and explain any changes that may need to occur.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate our team members, to train new team members, and to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- A positive work attitude and ethic and the ability to maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Organisational skills
- Computer skills essential especially Microsoft office and excel.
- Certificate II in business, leadership or frontline management, or similar, will be highly regarded.
- Manual driver’s license.
- Be always well-spoken and presentable.
**Work Environment**:
- Our office is well lit, airy and spacious however most time is spent in a variety of customer settings including manufacturing plants, warehouses, office buildings, hospitals and aged care facilities.
- The working hours may involve some evenings and some weekends.
- Ability to work away in regional areas for short periods of time is required.
**Training and experience**:
The successful applicant will receive on the job training, including learning the company’s policies and procedures, safety practices, and how to use the company’s computer systems. It may include shadowing an experienced operations supervisor for a period.
**Salary**: From $60,000.00 per year
