**The Company**

Based in the Sydney CBD, our client is an innovative business that concentrates on providing a range of diverse products to a wide array of clients within the insurance space. Operating internationally, the firm is a market leader within its field. Our client operates under a number of commercial, retail and specialist brands which are all growing exponentially within the general insurance landscape. The business has recently acquired several new entities which has led to the creation of a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager opportunity.

**The Role**

As the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will be responsible for 2 direct reports and report to the Head of Commercial Finance directly. Key responsibilities are:

- Developing Management Reports. Budgeting, and forecasting. Providing key insights and commentary.
- Financial modelling to assist with trends, opportunities, risk, improvement, etc.
- Prepare valuation analysis on major investment decisions.
- Enhancing BI tools and IT infrastructure.
- Development and tracking of the annual budget, forecast and long-term strategic plans.
- Adhoc analysis.
- Actual vs budget performance analysis/commentary.
- Monthly reviewing of P&L with Senior Management Teams.
- Providing general commercial analysis and modelling in line with the day-to-day needs of the business.
- Process Improvement.
- Ad hoc financial analysis and commentary as requested by other business units.

**Your Skills & Experience**
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- Additional qualifications such as CPA or CA (CA is preferred but not essential).
- Big Four will be held in high regard.
- Intermediate to Advance skills in Excel.
- Exceptional experience with TM1, SAP and Cognos.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Brilliant organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, able to multi-task, work independently and prioritise tasks.
