The Opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager will lead and manage docking maintenance projects. The role is accountable for all facets of the project lifecycle, ensuring each stage is managed diligently and effectively. Strong leadership, along with high-level consultation and communication, will be key in identifying constraints, pinch-points and risk that has the potential to impact on the successful delivery of the project to our clients.

What's Involved
- Manage Project - Risk, Schedule, Procurement, Budget, Resourcing, Communications and Stakeholders
- Ensure accurate task information is documented to ensure detailed and accurate charges are billed accordingly against projects
- Manage project schedules to ensure that project schedules are accurately compiled, updated, and delivered to customer needs
- Manage budgets and ensure financial targets met or exceeded
- Identify and appropriately manage any technical, safety or project personnel issues and risk
- Procure project labour IAW the project resourcing requirements both internally and externally
- Develop key relationships with stakeholders and suppliers and maintain communications
- Provide clear direction to project teams to ensure daily, weekly, and critical tasks are executed by the required deadlines to quality standards
- Provide project specific advice to ensure future projects costings and timelines are quoted accurately
- Compile, submit and negotiate project tender responses
- Compile, submit, negotiate, and execute any project variations
- Facilitate and lead project meetings and toolbox meetings

You'll Need
- Possess an engineering or fabrication Trade Qualification with 10 years trade experience.
- Willing to obtain a Project Management Qualification if successful.
- Exposure to the Marine and or heavy industrial industries, as well as a sound knowledge of asset management standards, systems and processes is desirable.
- Be commercially astute, with exposure to project budgets, estimates and cost controls.
- Be goals driven and results orientated, with an excellent attention to detail and the ability to explain and discuss technical, commercial, and contractual topics.
- Experience in planning.
- Strong supervisory, organisational, written and verbal skills.
- Pro-Active thinker with Initiative.
- Hold a Construction safety induction (white card).
