While this opportunity is for a primarily field-based role, the nature of our work is varied and adaptable and Umwelt will support your progression into reporting, project management and technical expertise as your career evolves.

**About you**:
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic F**ield Ecologists w**ho meet the following criteria:

- A
degree/post-graduate qualification in environmental science, botany, zoology environmental science (or similar). A
strong desire to work flexible hours and travel for ecological fieldwork including possible trips of extended duration (one week or greater) in rural or remote regions. E
- xperience in undertaking ecological surveys and a demonstrated passion for flora and/or fauna. P
- rior experience or knowledge of NSW Plant Community Types will be highly regarded. E
- xperience in developing and maintaining positive relationships with a range of stakeholders including peers, clients, and government agencies. A
- bility to work in a professional team as well as autonomously. C
- apability to effectively communicate with team members. E
- xperience in GIS and electronic data capture. A
- ppreciation of the importance of WHS matters.
