**About the role**:
Directly supporting the Head of Finance - Financial Services & Ecosystem, this role will be pivotal in providing expertise and insight to deliver financial, planning and analysis across our Financial Services business and in particular the Lending portfolio.

You will need to develop a thorough understanding of the Financial Service business environment, with a particular focus on Lending and the Waddle business to provide insight into their requirements for forecasting, budgeting and performance evaluation.

You will build strong relationships globally throughout the business, become a trusted advisor to the Lending Leadership team - actively influencing and engaging to support the needs of small business customers.

**What you'll do**:

- Be a Finance Business Partner for Xero’s Financial Services team with a particular focus on Lending
- Support the finance component of planning and forecasting for Lending, translating strategy into financial targets and tactical plans and delivering on cost management challenges
- Analyse business results, interpret and provide analysis of management information through modelling, inquiry and challenge
- Support the Head of Finance - Financial Services with ad hoc requests and build upon your commercial skills to provide risk/reward decision making and value management
- Track and report performance against strategic initiatives, highlighting potential delivery or business case challenges and recommending actionable solutions

**What you'll bring with you**:

- 3+ years of progressive financial experience within a commercial finance/ FP&A team including revenue analysis/forecasting
- Experience creating/maintaining financial models. You are very comfortable with data analysis and leveraging your analytical and commercial modelling skills and ideally have spent time supporting the revenue planning cycle
- Experience operating effectively in a newly created / evolving role and/or environment that requires you to lean in and understand the outcomes
- Commercial acumen. You are able to rapidly synthesise and distil information to shine a light on the activity, decisions and outcomes that really matter.
- Intellectually curious. You possess an innate desire to learn and ask why - you leverage your learning to continuously add value to your stakeholders.
- Comfort with navigating ambiguity. You thrive in being a frontier and are comfortable with owning the route to an outcome.
