**Role Description/Criteria**
The e-Learning leader will be responsible for leading innovation in the use of technology to impact on student learning. The position also holds a critical role in building the capacity of the St Bernard’s community (staff, students and parents) in the use of the various platforms that are used (SchoolBox, MySBC, MS Teams).The e-learning leaders will collaborate with various College teams to ensure digital technology is incorporated into curriculum and pedagogical approaches.
Position of Leadership roles with the College are appointed on a three-year basis. POL 2 - Time Allowance 10 periods.
**The main responsibilities of the position include**:
- Provide professional learning for staff regarding the use of MySBC through a planned and strategic program;
- Develop and create resources to support parents and students in the use of the college learning management system/s.
- Oversee content organisation and structure of colleges learning management system, focusing on developing design protocols in collaboration with the CLT team
- Involvement in the Year 7 transition program to ensure that all new students are provided with resources to engage in college learning management systems and eLearning platforms.
- Research, trial and evaluate new technologies and digital learning materials that promote student engagement and personalised learning.
- Liaise with the Assistant Principal (Learning) and KLA leaders to assist with the implementation of new technologies and e-learning materials that enrich the curriculum.
- Design and implement effective and evidence-driven ways to use technology to improve student learning outcomes.
- Plan and provide coaching opportunities to assist staff in the use of e-learning technologies.
- Work in collaboration with the CLT to develop robust digital infrastructure for consistently storing and sharing curriculum documentation
- Collaborate with the IT team to provide digital expertise transference to staff;
- Supports the strategic plan of the College; and
- Encourage best professional practice in student and staff learning through modelling, co teaching and direct instruction.
- Support new staff through appropriate and supportive induction in the use of various technology platforms at SBC
**The successful applicant will have a teaching qualification and demonstrate the following competencies**:
- Knowledge of College technologies eg schoolbox.
- Knowledge of best practice and evidence-based eLearning technology and how these can be integrated to support quality teaching and learning.
- Prior experience in innovation, technology, instructional design and design thinking.
- Demonstrated understanding of the pastoral care needs of boys in a Catholic secondary school.
- Experience within a Catholic educational organisation.
- Awareness of the ethical use of technology and competence in the implementation of processes and strategies to ensure its appropriate use for learning
