**Veterinary Ophthalmology Residency position**

**Description**:
Perth Animal Eye Hospital is looking for a new resident to join the dedicated team at their ophthalmology-only-practice in the heart of Perth.

**The Clinic**:
Perth Animal Eye Hospital is a devoted stand-alone practice with a strong focus on patient welfare and outcome.

The clinic is based in the inner suburb of Manning, near the center of Perth. The location provides excellent access to clients from all over the metropolitan area, and is a superb location in which to work and live.

As the only specialised ophthalmology practice in Western Australia, Perth Animal Eye Hospital has a strong primary care referral base. There is a large and varied number of medical and surgical cases, purpose-built premises and an established and experienced support team of nurses.

Perth Animal Eye Hospital is at the forefront of ophthalmology care, providing specialist care with the latest technology including specialised microsurgical instrumentation, operating microscope, high resolution ultrasound, phacoemulsification, endolaser, cryosurgery etc etc

**The position**

A rare opportunity has become available for a veterinary ophthalmology resident in this established and accomplished team. You will be supported throughout your training by two highly experienced specialists, a senior resident and a fantastic team of nurses. You will be directly involved in consultation, treatment, ongoing research and development of the practice.

**About you**:

- Dedicated, compassionate with an enthusiasm for ophthalmology
- Good communication skills with the ability to maintain positive relationships with general practice referral clinics and clients alike
- Qualification in Veterinary Science from an accredited institution and eligible to be registered in Western Australia
- Memberships with the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (preferred but not essential)
- Interest in a long-term association with Perth Animal Eye Hospital
