Migrations Analyst Tester

We are on search for two highly skilled Data Migration Testers to join our Migrations team located in either Melbourne or Sydney Australia
The Migration team plays a crucial role here at FNZ, with accountability for managing the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for all Data Migration projects across the business. Within this role you will collaborate with the wider team to ensure that the process of evaluating data before it’s moved from a source to a target system to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Ensuring Migration delivery is executed to a superior standard, given the complexity of the data migration aspect and the sensitive nature of the data, quality assurance is a critical component of this.
What you’ll do- Responsible for the testing and verification of our Migration process, working both independently and within a team to analyse, determine and execute internal testing requirements- You will identify and define test scenarios, test cases, and data requirements- Collaboration with the data migration team to address data migration-related defects will also be part of your responsibilities- Reviewing data mappings and architectural documentation to create and execute effective test cases- Liaise with IT development teams and test analysts to ensure that testing specifications are delivered to the highest quality- Discuss, understand, and document client data with stakeholders- Defining test coverage to minimise business risk- Generate clear and concise summaries on defects, communicate these defects to developers as well as manage and review the defect resolution process- Identify areas for test automation and develop automated test scripts as required- Must have worked on major data migration projects as a Test Analyst - please ensure that this is fully outlined within your resume and/or cover letter- Able to create and execute test plans using data mappings and architectural documentation- Data validation through database SQL queries- Hands on experience in ETL testing, SQL and Jira (Xray)- Minimum of 4 years testing experience within a Data migration environment- Python experience desirable- Confident, and able to take initiative given client and delivery-focused environment- Strong communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients
