The School of Computing and Information Technology (SCIT) is one of six Schools within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences at the University of Wollongong. SCIT has strong R&D links with industry and actively participates in several Co-operative Research Centres.
The Institute of Cybersecurity and Cryptology at the University of Wollongong is a premier research institute that conducts research in cybersecurity and cryptology. The institute was awarded the Excellence of Research Assessment with score 5 (well above the world standard) for cryptography research, which is the only score given to a University in Australia.
To be successful you will hold a PhD relevant to the field of Cryptography, Cybersecurity or Computer sciences. Experience or active engagement in projects related to secure cloud computing using cryptography approach are essential as well as skills in literature review, qualitative and quantitative research, laboratory methods, and publishing. A proven track record in publications, conference papers, reports, and established research is expected and additional experience in topics related to cloud security will be highly regarded.
