Receptionist for Allied Health Practice

Part Time positions available at our Elwood & Elsternwick clinics.
We are seeking self-motivated, reliable customer oriented professionals to perform front desk and administrative support duties at our Allied Health, Physiotherapy and Podiatry clinics. They must be able to thrive in what can sometimes be a busy practice with poise and a problem solving attitude while approaching challenges proactively.
The successful applicant must be a quick-thinking fast learner who will adhere to policy and procedures with an eye for detail.
Position Responsibilities:
- Patient and Practitioner liaison
- Booking appointments
- Processing patient accounts - billing, electronic claiming, collections and reconciliations
- Liaising with other health care professionals, hospital staff and private health funds
- Handling patient enquiries and referrals
- General tidying
- Various administration duties as required by the practice manager
- Maintaining inventory and stock
Key Requirements:
- Previous allied health/medical practice experience desirable but not essential.
- Strong customer service focus with a mature approach to problem solving and patient interaction
- Fast learner with a proactive approach to their own development
- A genuine interest in people & their wellbeing
- Experience with Medicare, DVA, HICAPS (preferred but not essential)
- Experience in Cliniko software (preferred but not essential)
- Flexibility to work on a rotating roster Monday
- Saturday (morning and afternoon/evening shifts available, school hour shifts a possibility).
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently both independently and in a team.
- Exceptional communication skills, telephone manner and presentation
- Highly organised and able to prioritise
- Thorough understanding of the importance of confidentiality and privacy
