OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB- The On-Site Representative (OSR) provides quality transport and distribution services to the customer while maximising the profitability and productivity of the business.- To coordinate the operations of the Night Key driver fleet operating out of the customers premises and return of empty Material Handling Equipment.- Provide a contact point for the customer and their stakeholders for customer service or operational queries.- Provide operational feedback and insight to the daily operations on a nightly basis.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Ensure the appropriate number of vehicles are available in the Night Key Fleet in line with the business needs, to provide on time delivery services.- Ensure all stock presented by the customer is delivered within the set delivery time lines each night.- Manage driver leave and absenteeism and coordinate back up vehicles where required.- Ensure new contractors are inducted to the customers site and ensure appropriate site and operational training is provided.- Ensure all freight is handled and loaded in accordance with customers and TGE’s policies and requirements to avoid damage to the goods.- Liaising with the driver group to eliminate and minimise any job delays in a timely manner.- Requesting via the manager to update job details where changes to permanent runs occur, ie adding or deleting dealer sites to a run or amending delivery times, requesting changes to run rates and driver rates as a result of these changes.- Resolve any daily operational and driver issues.- Proactively maintaining a positive can-do relationship with the customer and ensure communication in a timely manner.- Accurately complete all daily and weekly reports, both internal and external.- Communicate any operational issues and outcomes to the management team as soon as they are identified- Ensure driver compliance with respect of TED usage for arrival and departure times at the DC and individual delivery points.- Ensure on site safety standards are met, report all issues in a timely manner.- Carry out compliance related tasks, including driver and vehicle presentation standards in line with company and legislative requirements.- Any other duties as directed by management.
- SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB
Technical- Ability to identify the fastest route from collection to delivery location.- Detailed knowledge of Toll Courier services and operations procedures.- Detailed knowledge and compliance with procedures regarding dangerous goods.- The incumbent will have access to highly sensitive personnel and business data and information and must always demonstrate the highest level of confidentiality.- Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety policies and working knowledge of CoR.- MS Excel (Intermediate)- MS Word (Intermediate)
Business- Experience in local same day, direct delivery service.- Good geographical knowledge of Sydney area.- Experience working with contract carriers.- Experience in Taxi Trucks and Heavy vehicles, including Fleet management and capacity planning.
People- Required to develop a close positive working relationship with all internal customers of the TGE - Courier division and drivers.- Sound knowledge of corporate human resources and administration policies and procedures- Be proactive in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.- Encouraged to develop positive functional relationships with all Operational staff, influencing drivers to follow business processes.

Skills & Knowledge- Knowledge of Metro and Greater NSW geographical area- Experience in vehicle allocations- Knowledge of NHVL / CoR
Training & Education- Effective Communication Skills- Rockhopper/FMS Screen Skills
Industry Experience- Experience in local direct delivery service.- Experience working with contract carriers- Experience in Taxi Trucks, semi-trailers and B doubles.- Discretion in all dealings- Ability to work with mínimal direction- Innovative and a can-do attitude.- Must be passionate about workplace safety- Remains clam under pressure.
