Sydney, Australia Junior Basketball Academy Full time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Lead Training Sessions**:Conduct basketball practices and skill-building activities for children aged 5-15 during school holiday camps and weekend classes.
- **Skill Development**:Design and implement age-appropriate drills and exercises to improve players’ skills, including dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive techniques.
- **Positive Coaching**:Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and self-confidence.
- **Safety and Well-being**:Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by maintaining a safe and respectful environment and adhering to all relevant safety protocols.
- **Communication**: Maintain clear and open communication with team members, parents, guardians, and participants regarding schedules, progress, and any concerns.
- **Program Development**: Contribute ideas for improving and expanding the camp and class programs to enhance the overall experience for participants.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**:Previous experience coaching basketball, preferably with children in the 5-15 age range. Ideally a Basketball NSW Coaching Accreditation.
- Basketball Knowledge: Strong understanding of basketball fundamentals and ability to teach these skills effectively to young players.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with children and engage them in the learning process.
- **Enthusiasm**: Passionate about working with children and promoting the sport of basketball.
- **Safety Training**: Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- **Availability**: Flexibility to work weekends and during school holiday periods.
- **ABN**:Must have an Australian Business Number.

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
