Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Select and purchase products to be sold across our stores, balancing quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers from Australia, China, Korea, and Japan.
- Collaborate closely with store managers to understand store-specific needs and adjust stock accordingly.
- Monitor competitor sales trends and adjust purchasing strategies to stay competitive.
- Review sales feedback to make informed adjustments to our product offerings.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Three years + experience in retail buying, preferably in the supermarket or grocery sector.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, proven to manage supplier relationships.
- Experience in international sourcing, particularly from Asian markets.
- Analytical skills to interpret sales data and make data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Strong teamwork skills to work closely with store managers and other team members.
