Butcher and Meat Slicer

We are a growing Asian food importer and distributor located in Archerfield, QLD. We are currently seeking an experienced Butcher & Meat Slicer to join our team

**Position Profile**

The butcher is an integral part of EPH’s meat wholesaling function. They will be responsible for maintaining stock, supplies, and inventory, while upholding food safety and HACCP controls.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining superior hygiene, health and safety standards
- Report any change of food quality in the preparation to the Managing Director
- Cutting and trimming meat
- Operation of meat-slicing machinery
- Weighing of products
- Slicing and packaging of all meat to set quantities and standards
- Maintain all equipment
- Seek new customer accounts and business opportunities.

**Skills Required**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial butchering environment
- Certifications in HACCP and trade qualifications as a butcher
- Demonstrable knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese
- Energetic, proactive, and customer-focused
- Good hand-eye coordination

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $32.31 per hour
