**SubContracts Specialist** - preaward focus to join the Supply Chain Management division on a permanent basis to provide support and assist across these exciting Defence programs of work.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Develop, drive and manage strong stakeholder relationships and outcomes to deliver procurement strategies and priorities
- Create and deliver strategies across multiple projects and suppliers
- Lead the execution and delivery of large work packages to achieve efficient and on-time delivery of campaign and program milestones.
- Conduct complex market engagement activities to identify and select qualified subcontractors
- Lead negotiations including reviewing and drafting contractual terms and conditions
- Analyse the assigned subcontractor's proposals in support of the overall proposal analysis
- Reviewing statement of work, specifications, price and payment schedules, performance and delivery requirements
- Identifying commercial and contractual risks and recommend strategies to manage risk over subcontracting lifecycle
- Support the effective management of contract performance through relevant supplier relationship management frameworks.
- Lead liaison with large multi-national and local SME suppliers to ensure value for money
- Participate in the development of process improvement initiatives

**Skills & Experience**

For this role our client requires an experienced contracts / subcontracts professional with solid exposure across pre-award focused activities. You will need to be strong in developing and implementing strategies with internal and external stakeholders at a level to inform, influence, integrate, input and achieve procurement and subcontract outcomes is essential. This role offers a lot of diversity and will suit someone who is able to multitask and manage competing priorities.

You will need to ideally be degree qualified. Although defence sector experience is highly desirable it is not essential, so if you are looking to get into this growth sector and industry this is a great opportunity for professional growth and to work in an environment that’s welcoming, respectful and inclusive.
