Are you a **penultimate, or pre-penultimate**student looking to kickstart your career with an internship over the summer? Or perhaps you’ve already done an internship but keen to see whether Consulting is the right fit for you?

Whatever your reason, our Intern program will add highlights to your experience, grow your industry connections and if you’re in penultimate year - conversations on kickstarting your graduate career with us
- Whether your passion is in Engineering, Science, Project Management, Architecture or another consulting speciality, we’ll work with you to find your ideal first role.
- During your three months, you’ll get a broad look at the many career pathways available at GHD—because no future should come with split ends
- You’ll have the chance to work in design teams to help deliver exciting projects, contribute to bids and tenders, as well as participating in our broader Intern challenge.Get meaningful feedback in your internship and we’ll help iron out any kinks along the way

- **Your CV**:This gives us a snapshot of what you’ve studied and your experiences, both paid and unpaid.
- **A cover letter**:Think of this as your chance to show us where you’d love to grow within GHD, while letting your communication skills shine.

**Your journey to joining GHD**:
Here’s what to expect, step by step:

- **Video interviews**:If you make it through the first stage, you’ll record some answers to a few straightforward questions. This helps us get a sense of your communication style and what excites you about GHD.
- **Meet the team**:Next, you’ll have a face-to-face or virtual interview with your prospective team. We’ll chat through some _behavioural based questions _to learn more about your skills and experience. It’s also a chance for you to get to know us
- **Psychometric assessments**:These quick tests give us a glimpse into how you like to work and your strengths in relation to the role, complementing what we learn during your interview.
- **Offer**:Congratulations If you’re successful, we’ll talk through all the finer details, like salary, your start date, and our background checking process.

**Start dates and opportunities**

Our Summer interns generally commence in November and finish up mid-late February to coincide with our next Graduate intake. A number of our interns also continue working in the business on a casual basis after their formal internship period has wrapped up.

Community impact is important to us, influencing how we work, our projects and how we give back. Our _GHD in the Community _program partners with not-for-profit organisations so that we can work on pro-bono projects, as well as volunteering and fundraising for philanthropic and humanitarian causes. As a business, we also channel some of our profits into the _GHD Foundation _, _a registered charity that addresses disadvantage and inequality in children accessing STEAM education in the countries where we live and work.
