**About the role**:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will be accountable for the safe and reliable day to day operational management of the Cooma Depot.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Daily operational management & supervision of all company staff and contractors
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Comply with all external regulatory requirements - including BFM
- Manage freight assets & scheduling functions to optimise vehicle efficiencies
- Maintain required customer service levels
- Supervise team including rostering staff in accordance with operational requirements
- Inventory Management of bulk & packaged goods stock
**The successful applicant will require**:
- Previous experience in heavy vehicle &/or fuel industry an advantage
- Proven understanding of Fatigue Management, Mass Management, Quality Assurance and Chain of Responsibility legislation
- Sound Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail
- Effective communicator with proven record of building & maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Confident decision-maker with ability to work autonomously & lead a team within a diverse logistics operation
- Well-developed organisational, problem solving and time management skills
