Are you passionate about the culinary arts and want to be part of a dynamic restaurant team? We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Casual/Part-Time Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen crew at Bahjong.

As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations. You'll work closely with our talented chefs and kitchen staff, contributing to the preparation and presentation of delectable dishes that delight our customers. Your attention to detail and dedication to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen will be integral to the smooth functioning of our restaurant.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting chefs and cooks in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
- Ensuring proper food storage and handling procedures are followed.
- Stocking and restocking ingredients and supplies as needed.
- Assisting with the plating and presentation of dishes.
- Handling dishwashing and maintaining a tidy dishwashing area.
- Following all health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hazard-free kitchen environment.
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to meet service and production deadlines.
- Undertaking any other kitchen-related tasks as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience as a Kitchen Hand or similar role is preferred but not essential.
- A passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have the right to work in Victoria, Australia.
