An exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Theatre team. As a Registered Nurse in the Theatre, you will be responsible for providing high-quality perioperative nursing care in a collaborative environment.
About you
We are seeking a dedicated individual for a permanent or part time Registered nurse position, offering a flexible 6-day working roster. This role provides the opportunity to achieve a healthy work-life balance while contributing to high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. We offer a range of specialties including: General, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, ENT, Orthopaedics, Spinal, Plastics, Ophthalmology & Urology.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in the operating theatre, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating theatre environment, including sterile instruments and supplies.
Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal surgical care.
Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines to ensure the highest standards of care.
Participate in the education and training of junior staff and nursing students.
What you bring
AHPRA Registration
2 years or more clinical experience in the Scrub/Scout specialty
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
