**Position Description**

Seeking an Accredited Practising Dietitian to join a well-established and growing private practice based in Sydney.

The role involves the delivery of outpatient consultations in a private practice setting; across multiple locations in the Sutherland Shire and South West Sydney. The position with start at 2-3 days per week with potential to increase if desired. Days and hours are flexible and the position provides the ability to increase own income (pay based on a per-patient basis). Significant training and mentoring in working in a private practice setting may be provided.

The position will suit a motivated dietitian with a focus on providing clients with realistic goals and practical advice. The successful applicants will be friendly and motivational, with strong rapport-building skills.

The successful applicant will:

- Attend and contribute to bi-monthly meetings
- Undertake marketing activities in order to increase patient referrals
- Be involved in ongoing CPD activities
- Be available for virtual/in-person training (1 meeting per week) in April/May 2025 and to commence role in June 2025

The successful applicant will be engaged as a sub-contractor, and will therefore be required to:

- Obtain own ABN
- Obtain own Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Obtain DAA membership and Provisional APD status
- Obtain own Medicare Provider Numbers

(Detailed guidance regarding the above will be provided during initial training)

**Essential Criteria**
- Full Dietitian’s Australia Membership status and liability insurance
- Current driver’s license
- High level of interpersonal skills with client-focused approach to consultations
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as excellent time management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- High standard of report writing
- Excellent resource development skills

**Desired Criteria**
- Previous private practice experience
- Experience in Medical Software i.e. Best Practice / Medical Director / Halaxy
