Hays Geelong are currently partnered with a large public sector organisation located in Colac, Victoria.
We are seeking to appoint **Information Technology Officer - Infrastructure Systems on permanent fixed term contract with potential extension**.

**Your new role**
You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining software and hardware systems that support company’s business processes and provide technical support for company’s information and telecommunication systems to ensure they meet the organisation's requirements.

**Key Deliverables**:

- Perform appropriate system design, build, and administration functions.
- Provide support in Project management and for endpoint devices (SCCM & MS Endpoint Manager.
- Assist in the Procurement of hardware, software, and consumables within purchasing limits in line with organisational requirements.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all computer hardware and software licenses.
- Provide support in the help desk duties to ensure all internal requests for ICT support and service are handled with appropriate urgency.
- Engage in regular network and infrastructure maintenance and troubleshooting, resolve network connectivity issues
- Monitor system usage to facilitate capacity planning requirements
- Work closely with departmental managers to determine future network needs and plan for network changes
- Develop methods and tools to be used to test and implement new LAN/WAN equipment
- Provide a stable and resilient data backup and disaster recovery (DR) environment, including testing
- Responsible for the annual server and network infrastructure replacement program.
- Develop and maintain standard technical procedures, auditing actions and related documentation.
- Provide specialist advice, training, and support to staff in all aspects of information system management
- Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide a basic level of backup support for other Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Staff
- Install software packages on VDI and network servers and deliver training where required.
- Other duties as required.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology / Computer Science / Infrastructure domain
- Relevant experience in a similar role / Networking experience (Switching, Routers, Firewalls) (including VLANs and WIFI) and troubleshooting skills - HP, Dell, Cisco
- Demonstrated experience managing Cyber security risk for a medium to large organisation
- Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft Exchange, Remote Desktop, Citrix and other VDI and Virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, vSphere).
- Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Autopilot deployments or other cloud technologies
- Demonstrated experience supporting on-premises or cloud-based back-up technologies
- Experience working in a complex technical support environment
- Demonstrated initiative and a willingness to learn.
- Experience handling Internal and External Stakeholder management
