**About the role**
You will experience specialist support from a diverse and caring team, as you drive community and family engagement, with children at the heart of your service philosophy.

As the Room Leader role will involve:

- Leading, managing, and motivating appointed room staff to achieve the objectives of the Centre and support staff in their development
- Assisting with the mentoring of permanent and casual employees
- Following an approved curriculum, where you will be a role modeling for children in developing lifelong skills and instilling in them a passion for learning
- Making lessons captivating and enjoyable for individuals and small groups of children
- Delivering consistent high-quality practice of the National Quality Framework
- Ensuring that records are maintained accurately for each child in care

**Qualifications required**
- Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Early Childhood / Children’s Services or equivalent
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification
- Working with Children Card

**About the Centre**
YMCA Taylors Hill Early Learning Centre is a community based long day care centre that strives to provide the highest quality of care to each child enrolled. The service is co-located with the Before School and After School care program for Taylors Hill Primary School, which is also operated by the YMCA Victoria. Sustainable practices and respect for our environments are a high priority within our centre, being integrated into each daily program by having a natural environment both indoor and outdoor including various animals.
