Medical Receptionist

Wellbeing in Mind Psychological Services is a family friendly psychology practice with clinics based in the lively inner-city suburb of West End and leafy suburb of Kenmore.

We are currently looking for a medical receptionist to work approximately 14-20 hours per week at our Kenmore Clinic, on a permanent part-time basis to provide front of house administrative support to our dedicated team of psychologists. You may also be required to work at our clinic in West End occasion to provide cover for other staff members when they are unwell or on leave.

Availability to work one full day (8:30 to 17:00pm) on Fridays and to work every second Saturday morning is essential. A half-day (morning or afternoon) is also available on Mondays.

The successful applicant will:

- Have previous experience as a receptionist for a medical or allied health practice or customer service experience (minimum: 1 year)
- Be friendly, courteous, and empathetic to clients,
- Be highly organised,
- Have excellent administration and customer service skills,
- Be responsible and reliable,
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Be able to manage the practice software patient booking system and psychologists' appointment scheduling.
- Will be responsible for processing payments and invoice generation.
- Have excellent word processing skills.
- Be able to multi-task whilst working as part of a busy team, but also at times be able to work independently without supervision.
- Have a high level of interpersonal skills and an excellent telephone manner.
- Function in a highly organised and time efficient manner at all times.
- Have strong computing skills and a good understanding of IT.

As we have 14 Psychologists on rotation across the two clinics, the ability to maintain composure when things get busy, and the ability to learn quickly is a must.

You need to provide evidence of a First Aid certificate and hold a valid Blue card/ Working with Children check before commencing work, a Mental Health First Aid certificate would be an advantage.

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 20 per week
