**Position Information**:
Killarney Heights Public School (enrolment 659 students) is focused on providing inclusive education within engaging and supportive learning environments, valuing the diversity represented at KHPS. Almost 64% of the students come from a non-English speaking background. Through our strong local and national partnerships, including our collaboration with our Parents and Citizens’ and French Speaking Associations, we are committed to academic excellence within an English/French bilingual setting, and take pride in educating our students to reach their potential as Global Citizens with highly developed levels of intercultural understanding and a plurilingual mindset. The school has excellent traditions in music, dance, sport, drama, ICT, public speaking and debating. A high degree of collaboration exists across teaching teams to plan, deliver, assess, and evaluate programs of learning that enable all students to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. The school community is committed to provide rich programs and resources to develop skills in critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, and use of technologies. Teachers employ Visible Learning in their practice and students are encouraged and provided with effective feedback to adopt learning dispositions which will help them to develop a growth mindset and strong self-efficacy.
**Selection Criteria**:
- Approval to teach French Community Languages with demonstrated capacity to implement quality differentiated teaching and learning programs.
- Exceptional classroom management skills and ability to maintain a positive learning environment to support student well-being.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and community.
