**SUPPORT WORKER**

Proactive Community Services is seeking an experienced and trained support worker who understands how to handle mental health conditions and specific behaviours to join our team on a casual basis.

This position is based in North St Mary's and involves providing support to a young adult male. The role requires flexibility, as hours are restored from Monday to Sunday, encompassing day shifts, evenings, nights, and some active sleepovers.

**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Preparing meals
- Domestic cleaning
- Community access, one-on-one with the participant (e.g bringing them to their doctor appointments, having a coffee, outside in the community etc.)
- Providing 24-hour care and sleepover shifts

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Driver’s license and a reliable car
- Patience and emotional resilience
- Desire to improve the life of another
- Able to adapt and stay claim in challenging situations

**DESIRABLE**
- Certificate III in social and community work or equivalent
- Experience working with vulnerable people
- First Aid + CPR certificate
- Working with Children’s Check
- Working with Vulnerable People
- National Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screening

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Shift work
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:
