**THE OPPORTUNITY**
**Salary**:$78,564 - $111,391 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).
**Time Fraction**:Part Time, 0.4 EFT.**
**Location**:Chadstone campus.
**WWCC**: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
**Police Check**:Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
**Position Status**:Ongoing contract of appointment with a 6-month qualifying period.
As a teacher, you will:
- Provide high-quality instruction and hands-on training, drawing from your industry experience.
- Create engaging course materials and innovative assessment methods with a focus on marine and restoration projects.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support a diverse range of students.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve departmental processes and drive continuous development.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements through ongoing professional development.
Help prepare students for rewarding careers in marine and automotive restoration (interior and exterior).
**ABOUT YOU**
**Expertise**:
- Proven experience in restoration and trimming for motor vehicles and marine vessels.
- Familiarity with contemporary techniques and tools in both interior and exterior restoration.
**Teaching Skills**:
- Innovative and adaptable teaching methods, incorporating ICT to enhance learning.
- Understanding of adult learning principles and VET sector practices.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Experience with computer-aided production drawings (CAD).
**Soft Skills**:
- Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork abilities.
- Capacity to design and deliver inclusive content that supports independent learning.
**Qualifications**:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122 (or equivalent).
- Relevant certifications or licences. A Certificate III in Automotive and Marine Trimming Technology is desirable.
