**About this Position**:
We have an exciting opportunity for multiple Traffic Controlllers/Labourers to join our Roads department. The primary function of the Traffic Controller/Labourer role is to manage and direct traffic safely around road construction and maintenance sites and perform construction labouring tasks. This involves setting up and maintaining traffic control equipment to ensure the safety of both workers and the public while adhering to the relevant traffic control at work sites (TCAWS) manuals and Council procedures. This role is critical in building and maintaining the infrastructure that connects communities.

- Safely manage traffic control and support road construction tasks.
- Maintain traffic control equipment and ensure vehicles are stocked and ready.
- Follow Work Health and Safety procedures to ensure a safe workplace.
- Deliver professional customer service and accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with your team to achieve efficient and high-quality outcomes.
- Respond to emergencies as part of an on-call roster.
- Use Council systems to manage tasks and updates effectively.

**What you will need to be successful**:

- Traffic Controller Ticket (TCR), White Card, Class C Driver’s Licence.

**Full Time**:76 hours per fortnight

**Salary**: Attractive wages and conditions, including a 76-hour fortnight with an RDO, plus on-call and overtime opportunities

**Conditions of Employment**:**Conditions of employment are in the Local Government (State) Award and relevant Council policy, procedures and agreements.
