**About the role**:
The Curriculum Writer is a key position within the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) department and will be responsible for reviewing and/or developing high-quality curriculum materials and assessments for Vocational Education Programs across the organisation.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Review and evaluate current assessment curriculum and provide formal feedback to stakeholders for action
- Review and update current assessment curriculum on behalf of, and in consultation with stakeholders
- Develop compliant assessment curriculum including: assessment tasks, equipment lists, detailed instructions, observation checklists and mapping guides
- Support assessment validation activities
- Provide professional development and advice to trainers, managers and other staff to develop shared understanding of curriculum requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement of assessment systems and processes
- Manage the secure storage and dissemination of approved curriculum
**To be successful for this role you will have the following**:
- Hold either the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 including TAEASS502 (Design and Develop Assessment Tools) and TAELLN411 (Address Adult language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN)) or TAE40116.
- Hold Diploma level (minimum) qualifications in a training, HR or related business discipline, combined with a high level of professional, commercial, human resources and industrial relations acumen.
- Previous experience in a similar role or extensive experience in training delivery, methodology and curriculum in addition to change management and implementation of organisational change systems.
- Demonstrated the ability to develop compliant and engaging assessment curriculum in a VET context over no less than 2 years
- A sound working knowledge of the VET / Apprenticeship system is preferred, as is an ability to assist with the design and implementation of training curriculum, resources, assessment tools and delivery strategies which will meet AGA future business needs.
- Experience in the use of an LMS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia. A current Working with Children and National Police Checks are required and can be arranged for the suitable applicant._
