Glencare Social Support Group provides friendship and activities for senior citizens in the City of Monash who may be experiencing social isolation. The program aims at developing long-lasting friendships, promote individual health and wellbeing, and preserving social connectedness.

The part time role is for two days a week Tuesday and Friday 9 to 3. The programme assistant will help with light food preparation and will need a licence.

The role:

- Complete tasks as delegated by Co-ordinator/Manager/CEO.
- Complete attendance sheet and fees every week.
- Assist with food purchases and preparation as requested by Co-ordinator.
- Assist train, support and coordinate volunteers and placement of students
- Support and orient new participants
- Assist in planning and delivery of stimulating programmes and activities.
- To undertake annual care planning with service users
- To plan and coordinate a range of activities suitable for Social Support Group (SSG), in consultation with clients and Co-ordinator
- Assist with the daily transport of the SSG as required.
- Engage with the clients for the period of the group.
- To monitor and meet the needs of clients, staff and volunteers within the program as required.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10 - 12 per week

**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour
