Southern Cross Catholic College is a Prep to Year 12 school offering families a co-educational pathway to life-long learning. The College was founded in 1995 following the amalgamation of the Catholic primary and secondary schools in the Moreton Bay Region. The multi-campus College operates as the principal Catholic College on the Redcliffe peninsula. Southern Cross Catholic College, Woody Point is recruiting 2 passionate and talented **School Officers (Teacher Aide)** to work in our primary (Prep - Yr. 6) campus. These positions are for a 2024 Fixed Term contract, Hours: 8:40-1:10, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Duties include:

- general classroom support;
- preparation of resources and clearing learning materials;
- using technology to support learning activities; and administrative duties such as photocopying and filing.

The successful applicant will:

- be able to work as part of a team, in collaboration with teachers and other school officers;
- know how to support student learning and work with Prep - Yr 6 students;
- have a calm and positive disposition;
- interest and skill in supporting students with additional needs - pervious experience is desirable; and
- relevant study, such as a Cert. 3 or Cert. 4 in Education Support (or similar) is desirable.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
