**Description**:
ConsMin produces some of the world’s highest grade manganese ore and is considered a world leader in manganese mining. Our ConsMin Australian operation (Woodie Woodie) is based in the WA Pilbara, 407kms south-east of Port Hedland. Enjoy a short two hour flight direct to our well-equipped camp and mining operation - only a five minute drive from Woodie airport.
The Refrigeration Technician will primarily carry out preventative maintenance on commercial refrigeration systems for the mine site. Reporting to the Supervisor Non-Processing Infrastructure (NPI) the successful applicant will be required:
Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration systems in camp and on site
Service and maintenance of chilled water systems, commercial APAC units and split systems;
All aspects of installation, repair, maintenance, testing, commissioning, diagnosis and/or fault finding within a camp and on-site environment.
Perform all work activities aligned to industry safety standards with associated experience in risk awareness and risk mitigation strategies;
**Requirements to be successful in this role are**:
Minimum manual C class drivers’ license.
Previous experience in a Refrigeration maintenance role within FIFO environment.
Possess a Restricted WA Electrical Worker License and Refrigerant Handling License.
Trade Qualified Refrigeration Mechanic Certificate.
Current High-risk Forklift ticket license (LF) - desirable
Strong commitment to following health, safety and environment policies and procedures
Excellent organisational, communication skills and high attention to detail;
Willingness to improve and add knowledge to the team.
Applicants must be able to pass a full pre-employment medical, provide a clean NPC (dated within the last 6 months (or able to obtain) and provide valid references.
