This role will provide leadership and guidance for managing the maintenance team at the Auburn Maintenance Centre and associated sub-contractors across this contract.

Downer Rail & Transit Systems business has a wide portfolio of projects currently in delivery nationally. RTS leverages the in-house capabilities within Downer to offer integrated solutions covering rollingstock, infrastructure, rail systems, operations and maintenance, as well as system integration.

We are searching for an experienced Maintenance Manager to provide leadership and guidance for the Maintenance Team and associated sub-contractors. In this role you will be responsible for managing the maintenance performance, mobilisation and administration of works along with monitoring the execution of Improvement Works, Periodic Maintenance, and Routine Maintenance activities in a cost-effective manner against a set plan.

**What you’ll bring**
- Demonstrated 5 years’ experience in management and leadership of a large dynamic team
- The ability to proactively build relationships with key stakeholders and develop new business opportunities
- Ability to understand the fundamentals of a technical maintenance plan
- Relevant qualifications / experience in Operational Management and Quality Management
- A Strong focus towards Zero Harm
- Knowledge of Return-to-Work Processes and Injury Management
- Knowledge of State Insurance Regulatory Authority Legislation and Regulatory instruments
- Ability to read and understand an Enterprise Agreement with a focus on engaging and influencing a high performing group through communication and teamwork
