On Track Recruitment Solutions have a great opportunity for an experienced Storeman to join our Top Tier team for roles within the Rail industry as Train Maintainers.

**Duties**:

- Check, maintain and update Stock Labels and Bin Labels where applicable
- Check, maintain and repair Bin demarcations where applicable
- Check and maintain the integrity of the “Shelf-life” items from time to time and report any suspected deterioration
- Maintain the Store Warehouse and immediate environment in a clean and orderly manner
- Operating of the forklift within the stores environment to assist in delivery of items, movement of products, and aid staff within the maintenance facility when required
- Assist with the performance of cycle counts for all locations on a continuous basis
- Monitor the consumption of the maintenance consumables and report minimum item levels to Procurement Specialist
- Check consumption levels of all chemicals located in other Facility locations and report on a weekly basis
- Initiates requisitions to replenish stock based on material on hand in relation to departmental uses
- Check and maintain the integrity of the packaging and preservation of all stock
- Store accepted goods appropriately, packing and marking stock in accordance with company procedures
- Assist with the packing, labelling, dispatch, and receipt of good
- Assist with the accurate completion of all documentation such as Goods Received
- Creation of Purchase Orders as requested
- Assist in the timely and accurate collation of authorized Purchase Orders and Goods Received Advices with supplier invoices through the Accounts Payable process
- Additional administrative and computer-based tasks as directed
- Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure a high level of communication both written and verbal when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- Work in accordance with EDI-R BT (M) Health and Safety Policy and any other relevant company procedures
- Identifying and managing hazards and communicating them to team members
Reporting incidents and accident
- Ensuring use of appropriate tools, equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to do the job required
- Perform risk assessments on work related tasks, managing contractors as partners, Support and contribute to “Zero Harm” Culture
- Work in accordance with EDIR-BT(M) Environmental Policy and any other relevant company procedures
- Assist and contribute to sustainability in the workplace and ensure where possible environmental best practices are adhered to
- Report all environmental incidents and identified hazards
- Work in accordance with the requirements of company policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Complete quality checks of work completed
- Report any quality issues
- Carrying out any other duties that can reasonably be requested from time to time within the framework of this position, and the skills, training, and experience of the incumbent
- Participating in project work as well as routine work

**Working Week**:

- Monday to Friday (40hrs pr week)
- Forklift Ticket Mandatory
- Previous Storeman experience
- Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage both technical teams and business stakeholders to achieve target outcomes.
- Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to influence senior leaders and peers.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in creating documentation such as process maps, functional requirements, and user test cases.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills.
