**About the team**:
Finance makes it easier for us to win together as a business. Our team works side-by-side with every other team to help bring commercial thinking into what they do and make moves that support our strategic business decisions.

**About the role**:
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Tax Advisor - Indirect Tax within the Finance Operations team on a permanent basis

The tax team has interactions with all areas of the Coles business. This is an exciting opportunity to work with key internal and external stakeholders across tax and the broader Coles business.

Your role will include:

- Support on all indirect taxes including GST, excise, wine equalisation tax and employment taxes
- Prepare Business Activity Statements
- Prepare FBT returns
- Review payroll tax returns
- Research and preparation of tax advice and internal tax memos
- Contract review and advice
- Engagement with numerous stakeholders including categories, P&C, group functions
- Engagement and management of external advisers in relation to taxes
- Support engagement with revenue authorities in relation to tax reviews (ATO and State Revenue Authorities)

***About you and your skills**:
You are highly motivated and self-driven. You would have experience with working within indirect tax ideally within professional services or within a taxation office.

You will have the following skills & experience:

- CA/CPA qualification or a masters of tax
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and answer queries in relation to tax in concise manner
- Technical experience in a tax and hands on experience in a tax department
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient system skills - Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Experience working with the following systems SAP, TM1, OneSource (preferable)
